National data opt-out

The national data opt-out was introduced on 25 May 2018, enabling patients to opt out from the use of their data for research or planning purposes, in line with the recommendations of the National Data Guardian in her Review of Data Security, Consent and Opt-Outs

Patients can view or change their national data opt-out choice at any time by using the online service at www.nhs.uk/your-nhs-data-matters or by calling 0300 3035678.

By 2020 all health and care organisations are required to be compliant with the national data opt-out policy. NHS Digital and Public Health England are already compliant and are applying national data opt-outs.

Appointments

See our Appointment Times to see when you can see the doctor or the nurse

Telephone Consultations

In addition to our face to face consultations our GPs also offer telephone consultations at the end of their morning surgery. Patients have found these very useful when they are seeking advice and/or reassurance which do not require them to attend in person.

Cancelling Appointments

If you are unable to attend your appointment please contact the practice as soon as possible. Appointments can also be cancelled using our online appointment system.

During 2018 we had 2440 appointments cancelled so thank you to all the patients who cancelled their appointments in good time enabling us to offer them to others.

Unfortunately we also had 1062 missed appointments which resulted in over 177 hours of wasted appointments. It is the responsibility of the patient to cancel booked appointments if they are unable to attend as missed appointments cause the waiting times for an appointment to be much longer than necessary.
